The Notebook Movie Overview
In the movie The Notebook, Nicholas Sparks’s classic love story is retold in a new, magical way. Noah Calhoun (played by Oscar nominee Ryan Gosling) is a musician who falls in love with Allie Hamilton (played by Rachel McAdams). When he travels to her small town in North Carolina, he discovers that she has been writing down her thoughts and feelings in a notebook. The two of them fall deeply in love, but Allie’s family is not happy about their relationship. They believe that she should be marrying somebody from her community and they don’t think Noah is good enough for her. As the two of them try to hold on to their love while all around them seems to be pulling them apart, they discover the true power of love.
